Former Nordhoff High School standout Sydnie Wimpee was dialed in while playing first base for the Purdue Boilermakers last season. Wimpee expects to log some innings as a pitcher this season.

The Soule Park Golf Course recently announced a merger between the Soule Park Men’s Club and the Soule Park Golf Club. The men’s club hosted its final event Dec. 12.

The group of Mike Doran, Gus Gonzalez, Darren Veitch, and Don Crouse prepare to tee off in the 2020 Spud Classic, a socially-distant fundraiser for the Ojai Valley School Parent Club. Over 100 golfers played in the event, which was held at the Soule Park Golf Course.

Participants of the 2019 Annual Ojai Holiday Tennis Challenge gathered for a group photo ahead of the popular event. This annual competition has been canceled due to COVID-19. Organizers are exploring other possible events when it is safe to resume public gatherings.
This is usually a busy time of year for Ojai Valley Tennis Club youth tennis volunteers — including Craig Fugle and Jakob Vos, as well as Ojai Recreation Department Head Tennis Pro Scott Burton and others — who would be organizing the 10th Annual (adult/youth) Ojai Holiday Tennis Challenge.
