JV Rangers look to rebound Friday

09182014 TD nhs lompocLast Friday the Nordhoff junior varsity football squad (2-1) fell to the Lompoc Braves, 28-7. Lompoc dominated the first half, rushing for three touchdowns with their power running game. The Rangers came back in the second half with Parker Johnsen throwing for 176 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown to Brendon Looker. Looker had four catches for 123 yards and a touchdown and Jesse Westbrook had two catches for 41 yards. Defensively for the Rangers, Looker had six tackles; Westbrook had four tackles and broke up two passes; Cade Crawford had six tackles, one for a loss; and nose guard Austin Cansler had a season-high 13 tackles.
