City seeks public’s input on street master plan

Bill Warner, Ojai Valley News reporter
Is there a section of sidewalk missing on your street? Is there a corner in town that could use more shade? Do you know of a crosswalk too dangerous to cross?
If so, the city of Ojai wants to know about it, and next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be the days to make yourself heard. That's when the city will be hosting an open house and design workshop in which the public can meet with designers, engineers and planners from Nelson\Nygaard, the San Francisco-based consulting firm hired by the city of Ojai to work on the master plan for the Complete Streets Project. The brainstorming event will take place at the Ojai Valley Woman's Club, 441 E. Ojai Ave., from 2 to 7 p.m. each day.
Speaking April 1 at the regular session of the Ojai Planning Commission, Greg Grant said he hoped as many Ojai residents as possible would attend.
