The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Dallas Mavericks by a resounding 154-111 score to open up a 3-2 lead in their Western Conference quarterfinals series Tuesday night. But after the blowout, Clippers head coach Doc Rivers’ mind was not on basketball.
His thoughts were on the shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man who was shot seven times in the back by a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Sunday. Blake’s three young children were in the car as he was shot.
