Poppies Art and Gifts welcomes Natalia Bastun as its April Guest Artist. Her vivid acrylic paintings will be featured at 323 E. Matilija St., Ojai.

Bastun was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine, but now lives in Los Angeles where her creativity continues to flourish.

“I love hiking in the local mountains, enjoy being outside, and love Mother Nature,” she said. “I paint what I see around me. California is a beautiful land that constantly inspires me.”

The artist shares her talent and enthusiasm as a visual arts teacher at the CHAMPS Charter High School for the Arts in the San Fernando Valley. Bastun is a member of the Ukrainian Artists Association. Her works can be found in private collections throughout the world and at the Ministry of Culture in Ukraine.
