Public Health reports 50 COVID-19 deaths this week

As of Feb. 4, there were 71,911 people who ever were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ventura County, and 3,583 active cases under quarantine.
This was a 365-case jump from the day before and a 3,514-case jump from the week before. Out of these 71,911, 901 were in Ojai and 329 in Oak View.
A total of 302 people were in the hospital with COVID-19 countywide as of Feb. 4.
Seventy-six were in the ICU Feb. 4. Over 10% of ICU beds were available, according to a state calculation based on the high percentage of COVID-19 patients in the ICU.
A total of 648 people are reported to have died from the virus in Ventura County. Twenty-one were in Ojai and five in Oak View.
Fifty new deaths were reported across the county this week.
