In response to concerns from constituents who have experienced delayed or interrupted mail service, Rep. Julia Brownley, who represents Ojai in Congress, will hold a press conference with Oxnard Mayor Carmen Ramirez on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 3:15 p.m. at the Port Hueneme Post Office.

A written statement from her office stated: “Later this week, the U.S. House of Representatives plans to vote on legislation to save the United States Postal Service from sabotage by the Trump administration. The U.S. Postal Service provides essential services to our nation including delivering prescriptions, Social Security benefits, paychecks, tax returns, and absentee ballots to millions of Americans.”
Ramirez is running for county supervisor.
The Port Hueneme Post Office is at 560 E. Pleasant Valley Road, Port Hueneme.
