BREAKING NEWS: April 8: New county Public Health orders imminent to protect seniors; VC government COVID-19 update, including county Public Health Officer Dr. Robert Levin; 7 deaths from COVID-19 now in VC

4 8 LEVINVentura County Public Health Officer reported on Wednesday, April 8, that there are now now seven deaths from COVID-19 in Ventura County.

He reported there are now 263 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Ventura County, up 20 from the day before.
Levin had a special message to religious organizations to livestream, record or tape their religious services. Coming together physically endangers lives, he said, urging religious organizations to follow the Stay Well at Home Order.
He said a new order, or orders, will be released Wednesday, April 8, or Thursday, April 9, to address some issues, including protecting seniors.

There are technical issues, so the livestream that started at 1 p.m. on April 8 is being worked on.
