Ojai Sheriff’s Station detectives have released store surveillance footage of a suspect alleged to have used a bank card, stolen last year, at a local 76 Gas Station Market. They are asking for the public’s help in providing information to find who stole the items.
According to a press release issued by the Sheriff’s Office Aug. 3, prepared July 28, the suspect’s vehicle is possibly a white Audi four-door sedan.
Detectives state that between April 8, 2018, at 8:45 a.m. and the following day at 10 a.m., an unknown suspect stole several personal belongings from a vehicle in the 100 block of Creek Lane in Oak View. Among the stolen items were credit cards and a bank checkbook.
Those with information are asked to contact the Ojai Station at 805-646-1414. Callers can remain anonymous by calling 800-222-8477.
The Ojai Valley News asks that people who have an idea who the suspect is contact the Ojai Sheriff's Station for them to check out and do not discuss who a suspect might be on Facebook since the surveillance footage is not high quality and the person on the image could look similar to people who have nothing to do with any crime.
