An innovative approach to tracking coronavirus in the Oxnard sewer plant has led to the confirmed discovery of a minute amount of a COVID-19 variant that is “hyper-transmissible,” according to Ventura County Public Health Officer Dr. Robert Levin, who reported its discovery to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.

Alissa Diessner, 33, and Jeffrey Jackson, 25, both of Santa Barbara, were arrested after a man reported being carjacked at the Vons in Ojai on Jan. 25.
Ojai deputies arrested a man and a woman suspected of a carjacking at the Vons in Ojai on Jan. 25 at 8:52 p.m. The deputies used a crime-fighting tool called the Advanced Real-Time Information Center to catch the two suspects from Santa Barbara.
