More activities, businesses poised to open further April 7 in orange tier

Can you say orange? That signals good news for Ventura County as COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations continue to decline. Below is the county chart that shows the state metrics the county must meet to be able to open more businesses and activities. If all goes well, Ventura County should be in the orange tier by April 7, according to county Public Health officials. Learn more at www.venturacountyrecovers.org.
More local businesses will likely be able to open even further on April 7 when the county moves from the current red tier, which is second-most restrictive, to the even-better orange tier as COVID-19 cases continue to decline and more people are vaccinated.

Nordhoff High School cheerleaders capture spirit of the evening.
Nordhoff High School was lit up like a galaxy of stars Saturday night, spotlighting a universe of talent and enthusiasm, showing off the skills of cheerleaders, dancers, the Homecoming Court, Nordhoff organizations, sports and more.
The theme of the Homecoming Reverse Parade was "Out of this World," providing an opportunity for community members to drive through the lighted archways to enjoy the Ranger spirit and celebrate students returning to campus after spring break.

U.S. Navy veteran Bill Mors of Ojai planned and designed a homeless Veterans’ Village proposed for Creek Road in Oak View, and donated a substantial amount of money to build it, prior to his death in January.
