An Ojai man was injured Wednesday morning when he crashed into the rear of a box truck making a delivery on Highway 150 between Ojai and Santa Paula, authorities said.

Ojai school board's failure to communicate

Ojai Parents Peaceful Protest on March 16 was a success in our eyes and we appreciate the effort of Dr. Tiffany Morse and staff for coming out and trying to answer our questions. However, there are still many questions that need to be answered in a public forum, such as a school board meeting. As I told Dr. Morse, our conversations at the protest are still a back-room private conversation. In the interest of full transparency, her responses need to be made on the record for the public and in full detail.

Ojai Mayor Betsy Stix was one of three featured speakers at an Ojai Unified School District online panel discussion called “Empowering Women Past, Present and Future!” held online March 22.
Suz Montgomery, chair of the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council, and Senerey de los Santos, reporter and weekend sports anchor for KEYT NewsChannel 3, were also featured panel participants.
The panel discussion is the third in a series of OUSD’s community workshops on diversity, equity and inclusion, called "Engage to Impact — A Place at the Table."
Free summer school and low-cost child care offered July 6-30; summer school jobs also available

Ojai Unified School District is offering free summer camps for elementary, middle and high school students July 6-30.
( El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Ojai ofrece campamentos de verano gratuitos para estudiantes de primaria, secundaria y preparatoria del 6 al 30 de julio. Además, OUSD ofrece cursos de arte, música y académicos para estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria.)
OUSD is also seeking community members to participate in its summer school program from July 6-30 as teachers, aides and support staff. Most classes will be held Monday through Thursday.
