Wayne and Cynthia Matthews woke up Friday morning to find that a branch from the 350-year-old oak tree in the yard of their Aliso Street home had fallen and crushed both of their cars. Wayne said that he had heard the sound of a branch falling around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
