· A reader sends two thumbs-way-up to the Nordhoff Mock Trial Team and to their wonderful coaches, Gabriele Lashly, Jeff Bennett and John Slade.

· A reader sends a thumbs-up to kindergarten teacher Mrs. Hickok for being a loving, caring teacher who is doing a fantastic job.

· A reader sends a thumbs-up to Anne Masiel for being a wonderful friend and cat-sitter. Everyone should be so lucky as to have someone care for their pets as she does.

· A reader sends a thumbs-up to the students and staff at The Thacher School who gave a fabulous performance of the musical, "Oklahoma!" Thanks also for inviting the community to attend free of charge.

· A reader sends a thumbs-down to Ojai Police (Ventura County Sheriffs) who fail to signal turns and don't come to complete stops at stop signs. They send a wrong message to all drivers.

· A reader sends a thumbs-down to the city of Ojai for wasting taxpayers' money with the Montgomery Street bulb-out fiasco. They should never have been installed in the first place.
