The rainfall drifting into Ojai Valley early Tuesday was a welcome sound for thirsty gardens and late sleepers. In the long run, though, it did little more than cut the dust.
For the period between Sunday and Thursday morning, downtown Ojai had received 2.31 inches of precipitation, according to the Ventura County Watershed Protection District, while Upper Ojai had received 2.14.
