Election 2014 local results

The Ojai City Council vote results, with 100 percent of precincts reporting, are as follows: Paul Blatz 27.01 percent, William Weirick 22.26 percent, Randy Haney 22.04 percent, Brandon Hansen 14.38 percent and Stephen Quilici 14.06 percent. The top three candidates will be seated on the Council.

The Ojai Unified School District vote results, with 100 percent of precincts reporting, are as follows: Kevin Ruf 20.03 percent, Jane Weil 17.54 percent, Michael Shanahan 14.24 percent, Shelly Griffen 12.74 percent, Pauline Mercado 9.69 percent, William Ulrich 9.07 percent, Bill Ansell 7.6 percent, Charly Hancock 4.96 percent and Stephen Weed 3.78 percent.
The top three candidates will be seated on the Board.

Measure A, the elected mayor proposition, passed by nearly a 2-1 margin. The results were: 65.44 percent yes to 34.56 percent no.
Measure B, which would set the mayoral term limit at two years, received 1,273 votes in favor. Measure C, which would have set the term at four years, received 443 yes votes. Because it received more votes, Measure B will be enacted.

Measure J, the Ojai Unified School District bond measure, passed 3,825 votes to 1,803 votes – a difference of 2,022 votes.
