The Casitas Municipal Water District (CMWD) board of directors has tabled a resolution that would have awarded a $614,701 contract to Union Engineering to renovate the front entrance at Lake Casitas.
“The front entrance gate to the Lake Casitas Recreational area has exceeded its useful service life and is in need of replacement,” stated CMWD general manager Steve Wickstrum in an interoffice memorandum. “Plans and specifications were created and put out for bid. Three contractors submitted bids. Bids were opened on Aug. 28. All bids came back over budget.”
