About two years ago, in a drawer at his parents' Ojai home, Leif Dautch found a paper he wrote while attending Oak Grove School.
In it, he expressed wanting to become a prosecutor. “It's a really fascinating area of the law — you really get to see firsthand a lot of the problems that exists out there," Dautch said. "The goal is not just to punish someone and put them behind bars for awhile. There really is a goal of rehabilitating them and hopefully preventing these sorts of crimes from occurring in the future."
