This Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., six Ojai Valley farms are opening their gates to the public for the first “Day on the Farm,” a free event where visitors can tour the farms, ask questions, and spend a day in the sun. Tour organizer Christel Rogero said the reasons for coordinating such an event are many. “There are so many other tours in Ojai,” she pointed out, “but we don’t have one for farms. The other thing is, there’s a whole food revolution going on right now. People are getting away from going to the grocery store (for produce).
