Officials Meet, Discuss 'Bear' Necessities

Emotions rose about as high as temperatures last week as concerned citizens met with the California Department of Fish and Game about a bear that had been shot on the East End of Ojai earlier this month. The bear had allegedly been breaking into a property owner's chicken coop in the area before they had contacted the DFG about the problem, according to agency reports.
