Ojai man found dead on bike path July 1

Andra Belknap, Ojai Valley News reporter
Raymond Ceresini, 39, of Ojai, was found dead on the Ojai Bike Trail July 1 at approximately 11:20 a.m.
According to Waleed Kilany of the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office, Ceresini was pronounced dead by Ventura County Fire Department officials at 11:28 a.m.
As of July 5, Ceresini's cause of death is still undetermined. Medical investigators are awaiting the results of a toxicology report they believe will shed light on the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to Kilany, Ceresini was “free of injuries and trauma.”
The toxicology report will likely not be complete until mid-August, said Kilany.
According to Detective Greg Cadman of the Ventura County Sheriff's Office (VCSO), criminal charges may be brought about by the results of Ceresini's toxicology report if the death is found to be unnatural.
Cadman confirmed that he has interviewed a potential witness to Ceresini's death and spoke to several people who knew him in the community.
There was evidence at the scene, but Cadman declined to describe its substance as the investigation is ongoing.
Ceresni was found on the bike trail between Villanova Road and Loma Drive. A portion of the trail was closed to the public July 1 while investigators were on the scene.
