The question of how to replace the Golden State Water Company (GSWC) on the Ojai Basin Groundwater Management Agency (OBGMA) Board is expected to generate discussion when the five-member group meets in regular session April 27.
“We're going to discuss it,” said Russ Baggerly, who represents the Casitas Municipal Water District (CMWD) on the OBGMA Board. “One of the agenda items will cover it.”
GSWC has had a seat on the board since 1991, when the OBGMA was created by Senate Bill 534 of the California State Legislature. But if CMWD's purchase of GSWC's Ojai Service District goes through June 15, as expected, that would presumably leave an empty seat when OBGMA directors meet.
