Ojai’s Cameron Kunde (front) finished his track and field career at Nordhoff High School as one of the area’s most decorated runners. Now a freshman at Northeastern University, Kunde continues to etch his name in the record books. Kunde and his teammates recently finished their indoor track and field season and already he has a school record to his credit. Kunde was part of Northeastern’s distance medley team that broke the school record with a time of 9:37.56. The Ojai native was the only freshman on the team that traveled to the University of Notre Dame and returned home with the record. Kunde also ran 1:52.5 in the conference finals, good enough for 18th overall. Kunde and his Northeastern teammates will now turn their attention to the 2017 outdoor season.
