Andra Belknap, Ojai Valley News reporter
The Ojai Valley Family Shelter (OVFS) will open its doors to the homeless beginning Dec. 1 and will remain open through the end of March 2017.
The shelter opening night will be held at the Ojai Presbyterian Church and the location will rotate throughout the week.
Attendees are offered hot meals, showers and a place to sleep each night. The shelter opens its doors at 6 p.m. each evening and serves dinner at 7 p.m.
Rick Raine, OVFS administrator, estimates that Ojai is home to approximately 25 chronically homeless individuals.
