Shangri La three all turn down plea bargains, opt to go to trial

The search warrants approving raids on the Shangri La Care Cooperative (SLCC) and the arrests of three of its employees will be unsealed this week. Judge Patricia Murphy took the action in Ventura Superior Court Nov. 14, ordering the documents to be made public.
Murphy's action came in the course of a preliminary hearing for SLCC cofounder Jeff Kroll, who faces a variety of charges stemming from an April 14 raid on the medical marijuana provider. Kroll had previously filed a civil suit with the court, requesting the warrants be unsealed.
