City seeking help with its record keeping

Bill Warner, Ojai Valley News reporter

If you have good reporting skills and you’re looking for some temporary work, call Ojai City Hall. “We need help,” Ojai City Manager Steve McClary said Oct. 26. “Anyone with any experience in editing minutes should get in touch with us.”

The minutes in question are those of the Ojai City Council meetings, which haven’t been written up or posted online since July 12. Part of the problem has been recent turnover of the city records manager. Rhonda Basore resigned from the position in April, having served there since 2013. She was replaced in May by Cheryl Shaw, who resigned at the end of July. Since then, the post has been filled by Shauna Clark.
