Adam and Sonia Gallegos opened Ojai's first kombucha bar, Revel, Oct. 4.
Revel, at 307 E. Matilija St. Suite C, looks a bit like an old time soda shop — one that's perfectly at home in Ojai.
Instead of traditional soda, Revel has seven kombucha flavors on tap that the husband-and-wife team brew and ferment on site. Also on the menu — “kombucha floats” with ice cream.
What is Kombucha anyway?
It's a cold tea drink that has fermented with a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast.
