An effort to help young bike riders get to school safely three days a week will hit the road Oct. 4. The Ojai Valley Bicycle Coalition’s “Bike Train” will operate similar to a bus route, picking up students on the way to Topa Topa Elementary School, but they will, instead be riding bikes.
“Riding on Grand Avenue is just really unsafe for the kids,” said Tobi Jo Greene, Bicycle Coalition president. “We’re organizing this to keep our kids safe.”
