What is an elementary school worth? That's the question the Ojai Unified School District's (OUSD) Board grappled with Sept. 7 during a meeting in the Matilija Junior High School Auditorium.
According to OUSD superintendent Hank Bangser and assistant superintendent Andy Cantwell, the closure of one of OUSD's five elementary schools would net the District between $70,000 and $155,000 annually.
