Medical marijuana businessman Jeff Kroll made an appearance in Ventura Superior Court July 15, gaining a continuance for his early disposition conference until Sept. 16. It was a preliminary move in what could turn out to be a long, drawn-out court battle.
“It will be time-consuming,” said Theresa Pollara, senior deputy district attorney prosecuting the case for the county. “Not just because of the 34 counts against Mr. Kroll, but because of the number of people involved.”
