A coast live oak toppled Sunday evening at 211 E. Summer St., damaging one apartment in the 10-unit Summer Street Apartments and fell into the yard of a neighboring home. No one was injured
Leah Cardinali thought she was hearing an earthquake when the tree fell at approximately 5 p.m.
“We've thought about it falling,” said Cardinali. “There's a bunch of kids that play there all the time.”
The oak knocked a hole in the apartment's wall.
