The Casitas Municipal Water District (CMWD) has its new estimate for expenses and income in place. The Board of Directors was unanimous Wednesday in its approval of the budget for CMWD's 2016-2017 fiscal year.
The breakdown projected revenue at $15,729,155; SWP Indebtedness Fund revenue at $183,384; Mira Monte Water Assessment District Fund revenue at $18,825; and a 1 percent secured-tax apportionment of $2,080,209. Expenses were approved at $15,004,420, and capital at $3,979,059.
The expected reduction in water sales is one of the main issues reflected in the budget, according to CMWD general manager Steve Wickstrum.
