Bennett retains county supervisor seat

In the June 7 primary election, of Ventura County's 413,045 voters, 154,841 cast their vote for a 37.49 percent turnout.

Steve Bennett earned 59.82 percent (19,793 votes) over Dave Grau's 39.79 percent (13,166 votes) to retain his District 1 Ventura County supervisor seat.

In the District 19 State Senate race, Hannah-Beth Jackson garnered 64.79 percent (52,094) of the vote in her race against Colin Patrick Walch who received 34.97 percent (28,117 votes).

Among county voters, Hillary Clinton received 53.36 percent of the votes cast in the Democratic Primary race and Bernie Sanders tallied 44.83 percent.
