In response to the 7-11 Committee’s final report on surplus elementary school property, the Ojai Unified School District’s (OUSD) School Board discussed potential school closure scenarios Tuesday evening.
OUSD Superintendent Hank Bangser presented an analysis of the five “four-school” options for the Board’s consideration, demonstrating would happen to each school population if one of the community’s five elementary schools closes.
No decisions were made about the future of the elementary schools during the meeting, and Bangser assured audience members the Board would not forget the benefits of the current, five-school system during subsequent discussions.
