Those in need of legal advice but who can’t afford an attorney, may benefit from a new walk-in legal service. Ventura County Legal Aid (VCLA) expanded its outreach Feb. 3 with the inauguration of a free legal clinic.
The service is the brainchild of its VCLA President-elect Charmaine Buehler, who also serves as president of the Ventura County Bar Association. “It was the product of eight or nine months of research and efforts to put together a really needed service in our community,” Buehler said.
