Don’t let the name fool you, this is actually a patch of red maids in the Ojai Meadows Preserve.

Officially, it's still winter, but the wildflowers don’t seem to mind. Seasonal wildflowers are blooming and fruit trees are flowering across the valley.
The Ojai Meadows Preserve is a prime spot for wildflower viewing, with California poppies, red maids, owl’s clover and goldfields on display, according to Kimo Ellison, a restoration specialist with the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy (OVLC).
