Bowling alley owner appeals city ruling

For the first time in its two years of meeting as an advisory board of local government, the Ojai Building Appeals Board (BAB) is scheduled finally to hear — well, to hear an actual building appeal. March 14, according to the city calendar, has been slated as the date for representatives of the Louisiana-based 1202 Ojai Avenue LLC to contest a Dec. 11 abatement notice served on its Ojai property.

The selection of an attorney to represent the city’s interests at the appeal had been placed on the consent calendar of the Ojai City Council’s agenda for its regular meeting Tuesday. Ojai City Manager Rob Clark said that item would recommend retaining attorney William Litvak, of the Los Angeles-based firm of Dapeer, Rosenblit & Litvak LLP, to advise the BAB in the appeal.
