The Nordhoff Ranger football team earned their second win of the season Friday night when they traveled to Fillmore and left with a 49-18 victory. Fillmore jumped out to a quick 12-0 lead, but the Rangers overcame some adversity early and cruised to the 31-point victory.
NHS got huge games from sophomore quarterback Parker Johnsen (193 passing yards and five touchdowns) and senior wide out Regin Wilson (3 catches for 96 yards and 3 touchdowns).
The Nordhoff defense held the Flashes scoreless in the second half after struggling early in the game. Also scoring in the game for Nordhoff were Spencer Bliss, Noah Osborn, Jonny Contreras, and Anthony Soriano.
The win improves Nordhoff’s record to 2-7 overall and 1-1 in Tri-Valley League play. The Rangers will face Bishop Diego next Friday night in Ojai in their final regular season game.
