Drill pads along the Punchbowl Trail will be discussed by the Board of Supervisors next week.

Next week, the Ventura County Board of Supervisors are scheduled to vote on whether 19 oil and gas wells will be added to oil fields along the Punchbowl Hiking Trail in Upper Ojai over the next 30 years.
Two watchdog groups, Citizens for Responsible Oil and Gas (CFROG) and Los Padres ForestWatch (LPFW) have filed appeals to challenge the project and demand the county require a full Environmental Impact Report before approving any changes.
