City to pay $25,000 to learn what ails its Planning Department

The Ojai City Council voted Tuesday to authorized spending $25,000 for Citygate Associates, LLC to assess Community Development Department (CDD) operations.

“(Ojai Community Development Director) Kathy Wold and I have been working to improve the processes in the Community Development Department, and we are kind of going from a situation where we had a minimal level of service, to a situation where we are more up-to-speed with the state-of-the-art,” explained Ojai City Manager Rob Clark. “I think in doing that, there is need for review of our processes to make sure we are meeting the needs of everyone involved.”
