Bailey Osborne and the Nordhoff girls’ golf team continue to impress this fall.
The Lady Rangers have won three matches in a row and are currently 5-2 in Tri-Valley League action.
Their current winning streak started Sept. 24 when they hosted Foothill at the Soule Park Golf Course. NHS won, 283-293, thanks to final scores of 46 by Osborne and a 52 by Kayci Jakab.
Nordhoff then traveled to Fillmore to play at Elkins Ranch. They downed the Flashes by 20 strokes, 299 to 319. Jakab continued her solid swinging and finished the round with a 54 while teammate Stella Delgado came back to the clubhouse with a 56.
The Lady Rangers then faced St. Bonaventure Oct. 1 at Soule Park. They rolled to a 280-308 victory over the Seraphs. Osborne shot 46, Jakab carded a 53 and Delgado rounded things out with a final score of 55.
According to Nordhoff golf coach Dick Sebek, Osborne has been a leader for the Lady Rangers and is averaging an impressive score of 48 for nine holes this season. She was also the team’s most valuable player in 2013 and 2014.
Next up for the Lady Rangers will be a rematch with Foothill Oct. 13 at Olivas Links in Ventura.
