The Nordhoff Rangers suffered one of their worst losses in recent memory Friday night at the hands of the Lompoc Braves. Lompoc rolled to a dominating 63-0 victory and was clearly the bigger, faster, and more physical team on the night.
Lompoc managed to score on every possession of the first half and built a 49-0 lead going into the half. The Rangers on the other hand only threatened to score on one drive but they were kept out of the end zone after turning the ball over on downs.
The loss drops the Rangers to 0-3 on the season and life doesn’t get any easier as they hit the road to face North Torrance and Paso Robles over the next two weeks. See Wednesday’s Ojai Valley News for more information on Friday’s lopsided loss.
