Ojai Unified School District (OUSD) salaries are going up. For the first time since the 2007-2008 school year, OUSD staff will be getting a raise, and the school year is back to a full calendar with 180 instructional days.
On Tuesday night, the OUSD Board approved two agenda items related to salary increase. The first approved the salary settlement agreement with the Ojai Federation of Teachers and the second gave the same raise to staff not covered under a negotiated agreement — certificated and classified administrators and school psychologists. While there have been no raises in eight years, teachers and other staff on the stepped pay schedule have continued to receive their standard stepped pay increases based on seniority and education level.
