The Ojai Eagles Youth Football Chapter has rebounded strongly from a difficult financial period caused by the embezzlement of at least $38,114 by former Treasurer Amber Workman.
“We’re actually doing really good through all the community support we’ve received,” Ojai Eagles Board President Jethro Todd said. “We have really nice equipment and are one of the better well-equipped teams in our league (Tri-Valley Youth Football Conference).”
It was a dire situation when Todd became board president early in 2010 and it was discovered that Workman, the treasurer from January 2007 to December 2009, had departed, leaving the Eagles broke.
