Ojai is at long last in the final stages of formulating a complete Second Unit Compliance Program. This program would help homeowners bring their un-permitted "granny flats" into compliance with the city.
The Ojai Planning Commission gave its stamp of approval Wednesday night to a set of program guidelines delineating zoning and building code requirements. This came after the Commission asked to review suggested changes to the plan made by the Building Appeals Board (BAB) earlier this year.
It is still subject to City Council approval.
