Appeals Court denies Golden State request for rehearing

One more hurdle has been jumped by the Casitas Municipal Water District (CMWD) and Ojai Friends of Locally Owned Water (F.L.O.W.) in their efforts to oust Golden State Water Company (GSWC) as a water provider in the Ojai Valley.
The judges from Division Six of the Second Appellate District Court of Appeals released a ruling Wednesday denying GSWC’s request to have its appeal reheard.
Although this week’s ruling cleaned some of the grammatical issues of the court’s April 14 decision — such as adding hyphens and italicizing a few words — the judges did not waiver in their belief that they ruled correctly by upholding Superior Court Judge Kent Kellegrew’s March 13, 2014 decision against GSWC.
