The Nordhoff boys’ tennis program solidified their position as Frontier League champions last week with a victory over the Bishop Cardinals, 11-7. The league title is Nordhoff’s second in the last five seasons. They have also clinched their spot in the CIF Southern Section playoffs for the sixth time in the last 10 years.
An elated NHS head coach Todd Dickey said, “It has been an awesome season. We have had some players exceed expectations. It has been special to watch.” The Rangers started with a difficult non-league schedule and they took some lumps early, but that experience help propel them to an 8-0 record in league play. “Playing good teams really helped us. Once we got to league, these guys were really rolling,” said Dickey.
