There is more good news coming out of the Nordhoff High School baseball program this spring. The Rangers' junior varsity team is soundly in first place in the Tri-Valley League with a 5-1 record and has really jelled recently, winning six of its last eight games, with one of the losses coming on a heartbreaking walk-off in extra innings.
Coach Shaun Strben attributes the surge to shutdown pitching, very few errors, and a number of players stepping up at the plate. NHS has outscored their opposition by 68-20 during this stretch.
