Nordhoff High School’s boys’ and girls’ swimmers posted some of their best times of the season to upend host Villanova’s teams last Wednesday.
“We had a good day, and I think it had a lot to do with the fact we were going against Villanova,” said NHS head coach Rene Nakao-Mauch. “And we like swimming here; it’s just an awesome pool.”
“Everybody was ready to go, and we had some good swims,” said Villanova head coach Jermaine Britton, whose junior varsity girls’ and boys’ teams routed the Rangers by 44 and 78 points, respectively. “Varsity girls was close early, but we just ran out of gas, and Nordhoff swam really well.”
