Villanova baseball continues solid play

Thanks to the performance of players including sophomore David Bender (above), the Villanova Prep baseball team is 9-3 and 1-1 in Frontier League action. In their first league series of the season, the Wildcats split with the Cate Rams and this week they will turn their attention to the Fillmore Flashes. Bender has been impressive this season and has a .296 batting average to go with six RBIs. On the mound, the sophomore is 3-3 with a 2.00 ERA. (photo submitted)
